G'day! I'm Ned

I started The Turtle Tribe in 2018, after growing up watching plastic wash up on the beach every year. My family and I would spend days cleaning the shore, but every day it was the same or worse.

(This is me, 11 years old in 2019)

At a beach cleanup in 2017, we realized that we could keep collecting plastic from the beach forever, and it’ll just keep coming back unless we all stop throwing away so much.

So I decided to try to create change with something simple: toothbrushes. I launched The Turtle Tribe with $20, a lot of help, and a mission to help people switch away from plastic, by giving away free bamboo toothbrushes.

We started with bamboo toothbrushes, but now The Turtle Tribe also offers other natural oral care products like silk floss and toothpaste tablets, giving people an easy way to switch their entire oral-care routine away from plastic. While we started in Australia, we’re also now growing overseas to help more people switch away from plastic and create a positive impact!

But what we’ve been able to accomplish, is all thanks to people like YOU who care about the environment and want to make a difference.
